2025 was the celebratory year of 200 years of the railway. 27th September 1825 saw Locomotion No. 1 hauling the first passenger train between Darlington & Stockton, 200 years later and our locomotives were used in various locations throughout the year to help celebrate when the railway became a revolution and put travel by rail very much into the public eye. The year as a whole proved very popular, including the commemorative run on 27th September by the replica Locomotion No. 1.
